Ajara Water Supply Project- Initial Phase inception workshop

In the frame of the Ajara Semi-urban and Rural Water Supply and Waste Water Treatment Programme, the JSC “Ajara Water Alliance” held the workshop where consulting companies FICHTNER (LOT 1) and MACS (LOT 2) delivered the presentations to introduce the data obtained in the municipalities.

The experts from MACS and FICHTNER talked about the activities already carried out as well as the ones to be implemented in the municipalities.

Ajara Semi-urban and Rural Water Supply and Waste Water Treatment Project is being implemented in the frame of the German-Georgian cooperation and the EU support.

As a result of the programme, all municipalities will be equipped with the modern water supply and waste water treatment systems.

The value of the programme is 59,5 mln euros (KfW Bank - 43 mln, EU – 7 mln and Georgia- 9,5 mln euros).
